Alarm.com Release Notes 6/12/2017

New Mobile App Update Includes Doorbell Notification Sound and Pinch to Zoom on Live Video for Android
Our latest app update (version 4.2) for iOS and Android is available for download. With this update, iOS and Android users with an Alarm.com Doorbell Camera will now hear a new doorbell sound when they receive a push notification that a visitor pressed their doorbell button. Users can now also download and share video clips right from the app. For Android users, we added “Pinch to Zoom” for live video feeds on the Video feature screen. Users can now see areas of interest up close. Pinch to Zoom support for the Video dashboard card will be available in a future release. (Pinch to Zoom was released to iOS users on April 3, 2017.) Lastly, we now support Android Shortcuts, which is similar to 3D Touch on iOS. The Android Shortcuts feature allows users to send quick commands by long pressing the app icon on the home screen. This feature is supported on Android 7.1 and up, and can be set up in the app by going to App Settings > Shortcuts in the slide-in navigation menu
