Alarm.com Integration with Amazon Smart Home Skill

This week, Alarm.com will introduce a Smart Home skill for Amazon, which will allow users to control their lights and thermostats using Amazon’s native smart home voice control without saying “Ask Alarm.com.” The Smart Home skill is separate and independent from the existing Alarm.com “Custom Skill,” which provides more features, including security, locks, and garage control. You can continue using the Custom Skill as usual. But now users can separately enable the Alarm.com Smart Home skill for easier control of their lights and thermostats (“Alexa, turn on the Living Room Light.”). The Smart Home skill must be enabled separately by going to the Smart Home section of the Alexa mobile app and searching for “Alarm.com.” See Alarm.com/alexa for more information

SVR Recording Schedule Notification

When a user attempts to delete a camera’s recording schedule from their Stream Video Recorder (SVR), a warning message now appears to notify them that doing so will also delete their recordings from the SVR for that camera. Alarm.com Website > Video > Recording Schedules > Local Recordings
