The little round sensor fell out of our door to the garage and we can’t find it. How do we get another one and get it to work with our system?

It sounds like you are referring to the 2GIG DW20R-345 Recessed Door Sensor. One can be purchased from us via the previous link.
This video will show you how to program the sensor should you need to purchase a new one.
It looks like there are 2 parts there. In looking at the door, the smaller piece in the picture is what we need. 2 ½ inches is way too long and would not be the replacement part needed.
Please let me know additional thoughts.
That would be the magnet that comes with the sensor. The magnet is what holds the mechanical reed switch in the sensor closed when the door is closed. The magnet for the 2GIG-DW20R-345 is not available individually. Should you be unable to find the original, a new sensor and magnet can be purchased here.
