I would like to add a wireless sensor to a gate connecting the sensor to a Qolsys Iq2. but my gate is 600 feet from the Qolsys panel is there a wireless sensor made for this distance?
No, the sensors available to the IQ Panel 2 at this time would not function over such a distance.
Power G sensors on the other hand have a greatly increased range of transmission, and there will be IQ Panel 2 units shipping with compatibility with Power G sensors.
Existing IQ Panel 2’s will need to install a daughterboard inside the panel which adds Power G compatibility, but this is not being released yet and there is no ETA on when that may occur at this time. All evidence points to that happening at some point, but I believe they are intending to soft launch Power G just on new panels for a period of time.
