Qolsys IQ/IQ2 Panel Lighting/Socket Control Module

Jason/et.al.;
We have installed (and loving it) an Qolsys IQ/IQ2 primary & master bedroom remote Panel(s) We want to add socket/lighting control to the system including possibly the home garage front lights. Further, Front door lock control is also a possibility.

Our home has pervasive wireless networking with the Tri-band Linksys Velop (2x 2.4Gbs, 2x 5Gbs & 2x 5Gbs) wireless radios providing more than 7,000 sq ft of all-home coverage.

Could you please recommend Name & P/N modules to meet described requirement. I presume Z-Wave is a workable solution.

Happy to help. Compatible Z-wave automation for the Qolsys IQ Panel can be found here, along with part numbers.

Note that the local LAN you mention would have no connection to Z-wave devices.

Warren, thanks for your quick response.

Update: Our SuretyDIY Home Security system uses the Qolsys IQ Panel: QS-9004VRZ as a Primary Module and the Qolsys IQ Remote Secondary Touch Screen Keypad (QW9101-840-00). How can we enable / control Z-Wave light modules for on/off times, etc. e.g. Creating rules to turn Z-Wave lights on/off. We have GE Z-Wave light module(s) now installed as part of our home automation and are monitored by Alarm.com.

We’d like to be able to have our lighting turned on/off at prescheduled times.

Addit: is it possible to enable a capability to have our outdoor garage lighting turned on/off in a similar manner.

Thanks in advance. ~ Steve

Alarm.com rules and schedules for Z-wave and other automation devices can be found under the emPower tab while logged into the Alarm.com website. You can also use this page to login.

To create a time-based schedule, navigate to emPower > Rules > Add a Schedule.

You can apply rules to any lighting Z-wave devices added to your system. Note that remote control through Alarm.com requires Alarm.com Gold Interactive.
