So… I have a Qolsys panel with an alarm.com provider.
All my hardware is integrated within the alarm.com app.
I really want to get a nest thermostat and smoke alarms, but it appears I cannot.
As the qolsys is z-wave, neither the nest thermostat or smoke/co alarms are compatible (or is there a way)??
Having said that, what model z-wave smoke/co would you suggest? The alarm.com branded smoke/co are VERY expensive… $100 each. Compare that to this model which is a smoke/co combined in one and under $50… any comments?

No Z-wave smoke detector would work. Z-wave is not used for life safety or security sensors with Alarm panels currently. Qolsys uses GE 319.5 mhz sensors for life safety and security sensors. Z-wave is used for non-security automation (lights, t-stats, locks, etc.) Compatible wireless smoke detectors for Qolsys panels can be found in the attached officially supported sensors document.
