Today my “Front Exterior” Rule did not fire. It’s supposed to turn on my front exterior lights 30 minutes before sunset, and has been doing so for the past several months. Is there any reason why today it failed? I was able to turn the lights on manually.
Has this happened before or is it an isolated incident? There are a number of causes for Z-wave failure or interference which would prevent the device from activating.
Without making any changes to the rule or recreating/re-saving does the issue happen again? If not, then this likely points to a local z-wave network communication drop or interference.
If this occurs again, you will want to delete the rule and recreate it. Does this fix the issue?
